Fashion retailer Splash aims to enhance in-store technology to tap millennials

The leading multi-brand fashion retailer Splash Fashions is eyeing to boost its technology across its store in India in a bid to tap the millennials in the country. The retailer has also announced that it will enhance its brand portfolio by the end of this year.

The Middle East-based fashion retailer will launch activewear brand Kappa in its Indian stores in the upcoming autumn/winter season. After already launching Elle clothing, a menswear brand in its stores, the company is motivated towards working on brand mix inside its outlets.

Raza Beig, CEO, Splash, Iconic & Landmark International/Fashion Director Landmark Group was quoted as saying “the latest stores are more digital to start with as an experience, there are a lot of compartments and each has very strong category identities.”

Notably, the first refurbished store of Splash was inaugurated on 6th September 2018 at Pacific Mall in Delhi. The CEO further commented that the retailer will redesign all of its stores based on the new design concept in the future.

Focussing on metro locations, the brand has claimed to open seven new stores by the end of this year. Beig elucidated that this strategy is aimed at creating the business’ Millennial customer base. “The tech-wear is very much popular among the youth, as the clothes have in-built technologies like speakers etc.,” Beig added.

Additionally, with the investment in India taking place, the brand is not expecting more than single-digit growth in the current fiscal year.
