1-IndiaFamilyMart gets its new Chief Operational Officer (COO)!
The leading value retail chain, which forms a part of Nysaa Retail Private Limited, recently appointed the retail industry veteran Venugopal Konchada as its COO.
The hiring is in keeping with the company’s target for a rapid expansion where Venugopal will be overseeing the entire operational procedures concerning retail, in-store opening, visual merchandising, business development and marketing.
The company said in its statement that “Having spent a significant number of years with prominent retail brands like Vishal Megamart and V Mart, Venugopal has literally witnessed the transition of a shopkeeper to an organised retailer. He now envisions to take the manoeuvre of 1-India Family Mart a notch higher towards an exceptional growth ladder in the country’s value retail space.”
Venugopal is man of rich experience having served the Indian retail industry since last 32 years.
On the new role that would require him to take the company to the next level of growth, Venugopal said “We will be looking towards bringing in more and more skilled professionals into the business to match up to the scaling business and deliver an unparalleled retail experience to nearly 75 per cent of the country’s population.”
Ever since its formation in 2012, the firm has been maintaining healthy growth rate and profitability.
And now the firm plans to set up 40 stores by the end of 2019 with 50 more coming up by 2020. The company believes Konchada’s leadership, management and vision will help the company grow strongly on the back of its financial strength and operating efficiency.
